Welcome to Raising the Barre, a Christian dance studio focused on achieving exceptional standards of dance along with developing the inner Christian inside. We believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ his son and the Holy Spirit and also nurturing creativity and artistic development from a Christian perspective. Our classes are warm and positive with an environment to foster the growth that all dancers want and need. We end all classes with prayer, we use Christian music, and we learn how to honor God with our dance movements. Reach out today to learn more about the classes we offer and how to get involved. Who We Are
How We Got Started
The moment I stepped onto the dance floor I knew that my passion had been found, so when my dance training meshed with my love of God there was a mesmerizing freedom of expression that was unexplainable. I believe in teaching dancers how to tap into that anointing and use their training for something other than fun. I believe in teaching how to use it for ministry. To use it for his glory. To use it to change lives.
Our dance classes are smaller in size with a lot of individual attention given. You can try a class for free to see if it fits your style. Our extensive list of classes includes many types of dance and a variety of skill levels, so rest assured there’s an option that’s perfect for you. We’re constantly updating our offerings, so check back often to make sure you don’t miss out on a new dance opportunity.
GIRLS HIP HOP CLASS
This hip hop class is designed to get your inner groove out: To find your hidden rhythm: to release your inhibitions then this class is what you are looking for. We are committed to giving each student attention while also moving the class forward while having fun doing it. We have a younger class and an older hip hop class available. The Jr. class is offered Monday's at 7:15-8:00pm. The Sr. class is offered Thursday's at 6:30-7:15pm
DAISIES-BALLET/TAP CLASS
This is a ballet/tap class offered to young children age 5-7 years old. The basics of dance is covered along with building self confidence. This class is offered Mondays at 5:45-6:30 PM.
CHERRY BLOSSOMS- BALLET CLASS
This ballet class is for young dancers 7-11 years old that have had several years of dance and are honing in on their skills. They are budding into young dancers that have conquered the basics of ballet. This class is offered Thursday's at 5:30-6:30 PM.
ADULT BALLET/TAP CLASS
This class is designed for adults who would like to explore or renew their love of ballet and tap. No age requirement just a good attitude and desire for fun, fellowship and training. This class is offered Monday's 8:00-8:45 PM.
TIP TOE TAPPERS- TAP CLASS
This class is for children 7-11 years of age who have mastered the basics of tap. This class is offered Thursday's 5 :00-5:30 PM.
ROSEBUDS- BALLET/TAP CLASS
This class is for children 7-11 years of age who have not had much dance and need to master the basics of ballet. This class is offered Mondays at 6:30-7:15 PM.
BOUQUET- POINTE CLASS
This class is for ages 12 years of age and up who have intermediate to advanced ballet skills and want to explore the pointe shoe experience. This class is offered Thursday's 4:30-5:00 PM.
BOYS HIP HOP CLASS
Let your young man come and learn to express himself in a positive and fun way. This will help him gain confidence in himself and the world. This class is offered Monday's 4:15-5:00pm
MOM AND TOT CLASS
This class is designed for moms and toddlers 2-3 yrs old to come and discover the joy of dancing together. This will be a great time to bond more with your child in this busy go,go,go society we live in.
BABY AND ME
After delivery the body just doesn't react to getting back in shape. This is a way for new moms to get their bodies moving and tone up a bit while all along loving on their new treasure. This class will be offered on Wednesday at 2:00-2:45pm
SWING/LINE DANCE

This class is going to be offered twice a month for starters. The class will be on Sunday evenings at 6:00-6:45pm twice a month. You will be learning swing dancing and line dances. You can come as a couple or as a single person.
BUTTERCUPS-BALLET/TAP CLASS
This ballet class is for children 3 to 4 years of age. We will learn the basics of ballet and tap in a fun and innovative way. This class is offered Monday's at 5:00-5:45 PM. Want to find out more? Get in touch with us today.
SIGN LANGUAGE
This class is a beginner sign language class. It is designed to learn the basic words so you can communicate with the deaf or use it in church during worship or just to learn a new language. It will be offered on Tuesday evenings at 7:00-7:45pm beginning September 27th and offered twice a month.
